BE HOME FOR DINNER
To be home for dinner requires that
we integrate loving, supportive relationships into the fabric
of our lives. Life integration is deeper then life balance, which
is often approached through time management strategies that categorize
priorities and assigns them time on a schedule. This will not
work in our complex world. Instead, we need to become aware of
our PRIME MOTIVE – the essential driver of our decisions
and the basis of our attitudes, moods and goals.
All human history, philosophy, social science and spiritual tradition
tells us that if our central driving motive is anything less
then love, our lives will be unsatisfying. When we become
conscious that every choice, every conversation and focus of
our achievement should be motivated by love and informed by
truth, our decisions will produce progress toward growth, enriching
relationships and
personal fulfillment.
When we are consistently seeking our highest desires and expressing
our talent with conscious purpose, we will be at our best.
Doing what we are designed to do. And when our choices are
driven by
love, we will enjoy a life we both value and enjoy.
A life filled with work, love and play – a life of growth,
optimism and contentment.
